Why Now?

Right now, across the United States, communities have more power to shape the future of public education than they’ve had in at least two decades.

And a decade from now, the federal government will again re-authorize K-12 education policy (yes, the “new” Every Student Succeeds Act will become something else in 7-14 years!).

Developing shared frames that ring true in the lived experiences of communities, teachers, and organizers committed to educational justice NOW is essential to shaping the current and the future narrative on public education.

This project is all about contributing to moving student groups, parent groups, teachers, organizers, and public education advocates towards locating and advancing “true frames” that can shape not just the next seven but the next seventy years of public education.

The time to act has always been now, so begin by watching first episode video here.
